Way.Today is a location-sharing application designed to facilitate the seamless sharing and tracking of device positions without compromising privacy. Upon initial launch, Way.Today generates a unique ID and awaits user interaction to commence recording and transmitting location data with a simple tap of a central button. Another tap halts this process effectively.

The sharing functionality enables users to distribute the recorded track link via various communication channels such as email, SMS, and messengers utilizing iOS capabilities, prioritizing user privacy by ensuring no recipient information is stored, recorded, or transmitted.

Refreshing the recorded track ID purges all previously saved locations instantaneously, providing a new ID for ongoing recording purposes. Accessing the shared track is straightforward, allowing recipients to view it effortlessly without the need for additional applications or account creation.

Way.Today's commitment to user anonymity is highlighted by its stringent data handling practices; the application refrains from collecting personal or device information beyond random IDs and location-related data for network transmission. Saved tracks remain on servers until intentionally removed by changing the ID or the expiration of a two-week period post most recent interaction.

Notably, servers retain only the 500 most recent locations, absolving device owners from any track management responsibilities beyond changing the ID periodically.
